February already???

Wow nearly 2 months since we seen our sweet girl!!!! We are still waiting for the MOJ to sign off on our file so we can move onto court! Based on our limited knowledge our file was submitted to MOJ 3 weeks ago. We are proably looking at May travel at this point. We also updated our medicals and criminal reports (I have been told they need to be less than 3 months old at court).

We still have the overwhelming task of preparing for the addition of our daughter. I have almost (it changes daily so I still say almost) decided the boys are going upstairs. We will start with the girls separate until sleep schedules are normalized with the hopes that the girls can share a room eventually. We will need to do some work upstairs which includes painting and some minor repairs before the boys can move up. We REALLY need to get started.

We are dealing with some minor issues with our oldest. An knee injury has sidelined our super energetic son from physical activity and the poor child is crawling out of his skin. He has endless energy and physical activity was his outlet to maintain self control. So he are trying to refocus him on activities that will help while he is on the "injury list". Needless to say we have not been too successful and are still working at it. Homework is taking longer, more talking at school and doing silly things!!! I am just stepping into the waters of parenting a slightly older child (8 1/2) and feel a little inadequate!!!

On a happy note, we starting a fundraiser in the next few weeks for diapers to be donated to the orphanage. That was the main need the director expressed as most urgent. So be on the look out for details soon!!!!

Let's hope February brings: LOVE and
1. A court date (proabably will not have court in Feb but would like to have it assigned)
2. A successful fundraiser for orphanage diapers
3. Good behavior and a good MD report (including a return to soccer)
