Hard to believe that in less that 3 weeks we will be on our way to Bulgaria!!!! We are getting excited!!!! I am trying to stay organized but I am beyond excited to see her sweet face in person. We still have a marathon soccer weekend, a 6th birthday party, Christmas decorating and Thanksgiving and I intend to enjoy all 4 events despite my excitement (first Thanksgiving without my awesome mom cooking, my attempt at cooking will be an entry worth reading!!!)
Things Accomplished this week!!
Named our sweet girl
Mailed 800-A extension paperwork
Purchased gifts
Broke the Bulgarian CD we bought 2 years ago (yikes, not an easy language and not proud of my progress)
Bought a coat for trip (have to exchange, I am a difficult shopper and not satisfied until I visit a store at least 3 times for 1 item)
Started make packing lists
Completed Family education conference call
Arranged transportation and after school care for the boys (thanks Jane and Kim!!!!)
Things to do this week!!!
Not related to the trip a 6th birthday party for Sam is in the works
Get Ryan, Audrey, and Sam's plans for the week we are gone set and written
Purchase all the gifts, snacks, toys, for a sweet little girl we can't wait to meet
Take a family photo for a photo album to leave in Bulgaria
Continue to work on my lousy Bulgarian
Make sure we have all our travel documents and forms organized and filled out
Complete a travel call with family educator
Make sure my medicine kit is stocked up for the trip (The pharmacist in me tries to be prepared)

ReplyDeleteHi! I found your blog when looking up Bulgarian adoptions. My wife and I are about to start the process. I'd love to talk with you sometime about it. We started a blog, though we haven't advertised it yet or finished it, at www.timebringsroses.wordpress.com My email address is on there, I couldn't find yours on here to directly message you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and good luck with your trip!! I am not so good at keeping up with blogs but have tried to follow your story - - - - we are going to China in the Spring, it is such an exciting time! Hope things go smoothly, can't wait to see pictures!
